Program Ads for 2009-2010 Maverick Football Season
The MRHS Athletic Booster Club is currently securing program ads for the 2009-2010 Maverick football season. If you’re interested in purchasing a corporate ad or an individual ad for your student(s), please refer to the order form and letter available on this website. Forms will also be distributed by your student’s coach, director or sponsor.
ALL students are welcome and encouraged to participate. A student may be honored regardless of their sport, organization and/or school affiliation (i.e. athletes, fine arts, and clubs). Deadline to submit your order is July 1, 2009.

2009 Spring Sports Banquet
Honoring our Athletes in GOLF, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, SOCCER, TENNIS, TRACK and ATHLETIC TRAINERS Monday, May 4, 2009.
Spring Creek Barbeque Sliced Beef, Sausage, Turkey, Beans, Coleslaw and all the Fixins, Tea, Lemonade and Dessert. Dinner served 5:15-6:45 in the Commons. Adult dinners $10.00, Child dinners (under 12) $7.00.
(Athletic Booster Club provides athletes meals)

Athletic Booster Club Scholarships
- MRHS ABC will distribute $8,400 divided equally between up to seven scholarships. This means, for example, that if we award seven scholarships, each scholarship will be worth $1,200. Likewise, if we award six scholarships, each scholarship will be worth $1,400.
- To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, an athlete’s family must be a paying member of the booster club as of February 27, 2009. Check our web site to verify you are on our membership roll. Note: Next year, an athlete’s family must be an active member of the booster club for two years
- The application deadline is April 3, 2009.
- The judging panel consists of the grade level principal, a counselor, and Coach Svendsen. The judging panel will complete its work by May 1 in time for the senior awards assembly.
- Applications will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Four year scholastic average
- Senior year scholastic average
- Scholastic honors
- Application/Acceptance to college
- School Involvement
- Discipline Record
- 300-500 word written essay on one of the two topics:
- How has being involved in high school athletics influenced your life? Or
- What teacher or coach at MRHS has most influenced your life and how?
- Two letters of recommendation. One letter must come from a coach, and the other must be written by non-coaching member of the MRHS faculty.
- The judging panel will use the following point system:
- 1/3 academics
- 1/3 athletics
- 1/3 character
- Application forms may be downloaded from the booster club web site or received from a coach.
- Return completed forms to Coach Svendsen April 3, 2009.
