WRESTLING NEWS!
On January 16, 2010, the Morton Ranch High School Boys and Girls Wrestling teams traveled to compete in the THWCA State Duals Tournament in Amarillo. Both teams qualified for this event by placing as a top four team at the qualifying tournament held at Morton Ranch High School on December 12, 2009.
The Boys team was pooled with Arlington Martin, Flower Mound, Boys Ranch, and Vista Ridge. The boys team finished 1-3 in round one defeating Boys Ranch. The Boys team ended up in 12th place overall.
The Girls team faced off against El Paso Chapin, Tascosa, Palo Duro, and Arlington Bowie. The Mavericks defeated Palo Duro and Arlington Bowie going 2-2 in round 1. The girls team finished in 5th place overall by defeating Amarillo High School in the final round.
Congratulations to both teams for a job well done!!!
2009 FOOTBALL PROGRAMS: If anyone is interested in purchasing a program from a previous game, please contact Dalinda Dugal at dugaldalinda@att.net. Programs are available for $5. Collect all six programs! They make great keepsakes!
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS...the Athletic Booster Club will be having a Garage Sale in the front parking lot of the school on Saturday, April 24th.
For those wanting to donate any household items, including furniture, etc. towards this fundraiser, please feel free to contact Dalinda Dugal at dugaldalinda@att.net or 281-686-8547.
This event will be a combined effort of all athletic programs at MRHS. So parents/guardians, while cleaning out closets, drawers, rooms, garage, etc. between now and April 24th, please contact the ABC if you would like to donate your items towards this fundraiser or if you have any questions.
